The first weekend of May was simply perfect weather across New England! I took a road trip travelling over the weekend from MA to mid coast ME. There were so many motorcycle enthusiasts everywhere, most taking their bike out for the first time. Before your next trip double check with your insurance company/agent to make sure you restored coverage to your policy. Most people reduce coverage on their motorcycles to save money over the winter.
Liability coverage should be put back to higher limits, add collision and comprehensive to cover damage to the body of your motorcycle if desired. Make sure if you carry passengers, that you have coverage for them too! And especially important is Medical Payments coverage. While riding a motorcycle, there is no coverage provided by PIP, personal injury protection. Your health insurance may provide coverage if you are injured. However the medical payments coverage on your motorcycle insurance, will help cover the cost of health plan deductibles - co pays or excluded procedures associated with an accident, up to the limit you choose.
